We begin November with a zoom presentation by Keith Thorburn. Keith is an award winning photographer who enjoys capturing those special moments when the light changes everything. Living in Kinlochleven Keith moved to the Highlands to be amongst nature and have a wide variety of wildlife and landscapes to photograph. Keith will join us on zoom to share his nature photography. He will talk to us about techniques and particularly his use of camera traps with which he has taken wonderful images of Pine Martens. The second part of his talk will showcase his favourite and award winning wildlife photography.

The first of our League competitions will be held in the hall at Kinross Church Centre.
We look forward to welcoming back judge Gordon Scott who will give critiques on the submitted colour prints, black and white prints and also PDI’s.

Photographer Alistair How, based in North Yorkshire, will join us via zoom to present his talk on ‘Urban Night Photography’ As well as photographing landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, sport and travel Alistair especially enjoys photographing cities during the blue hour or darkness from which he creates spectacular images. The contrast between dark and light, combined with the lines of buildings provide rich material for his photography. In addition to cityscapes he will discuss techniques used to capture moving light from cars, trains and people will also be included. Composition, equipment and lighting will be covered.
