October Update

Sunday 13th

On Sunday 13th October we will be taking part in The Perthshire Alliance. This competition takes place at the Perth Civil Service Club. This is an external competition where we meet up with two local photography clubs and in friendly combat our images are judged by an external judge who has the difficult task of scoring each image and deciding on which lucky club takes the trophy.

Thursday 17th

On 17th October we hold our internal competition Fortune and Greer / Smartphone photography. This is a friendly internal competition judged by members on the evening. Our theme this year for the Fortune and Greer competition is symmetry.

Thursday 24th

On 24th October we have a zoom presentation by Cameron Scott on Documentary Photography. Cameron is a member of the Progressive Street gang of photographers which is a group of photographers who promote and publish Street, Documentary and Photojournalism worldwide.

Thursday 31st

31st October we hold our popular Digital Knockout evening in the hall. Members are invited to submit digital photographs on any theme they choose. The photographs are displayed in two’s on projector screens and the audience is asked to vote for their preferred image. This continues until we are left with only two images from which a final vote determines our winning photo. This is always an enjoyable evening all taken in good humour and one not to miss.
