September Update

https://www.facebook.com/KinrossCClub/

I am delighted to announce the start date of the new season for Kinross Camera Club is Thursday 12th September 2024. Our first meeting is a ‘welcome back’ evening and will be held in The Church Centre, 64 High Street, Kinross KY13 8AJ at 7.30pm. During the next few months we will again be running a mixture of face to face hall meetings in the Church Centre and some Zoom meetings which we can enjoy from the comfort of home. Please refer to our website for further information ( see link )  As well as a chance to catch up with everyone following our summer break we will have a look at our exciting new syllabus and a chance to see a slideshow showcasing images from our Weekend Away last May to Haltwhistle in Northumberland and our more local summer Evening Meet-ups.

The first Zoom meeting of the new season will take place on September 19th when Roger Hance will present his talk “People, Portraits and Photojournalism”. Roger is an award winning photographer from Colchester, Essex. Roger has an interest in many genres of photography including Landscape, Natural History, Sport, Live Rock Music as well as Portraiture and Photojournalism. In his forthcoming talk Roger will explain why some subjects can work in colour while others can be considerably improved by converting to monochrome. Roger will also cover working in a studio with flash as well as how to take candid shots at Rock Concerts without people noticing you.

At the end of September we will be treated to an evening of members talks in the hall when two of our members will entertain us with slideshows of their past and present work.

If you have an interest in photography and would like to join us or if you would like to learn more about Kinross Camera Club and the planned activities and events please contact secretary@kinrosscameraclub.org.uk

All abilities of photographer will be made very welcome. You can even come along to a few meetings before deciding if you would like to become a paid up member. Why not come along on to one of our September meetings and see if you enjoy it.
