On the first Thursday in April we hold our Four-On-A-Board competition in the Kinross Church Centre where members are asked to enter four related photographs on any theme. The images are projected onto a screen as a collage and members of the audience are invited to vote for their favourite. The themes are always wide and varied and make for a very entertaining and enjoyable evening.

On 11th April we will be holding our final competition of the season ‘The Annual’ when we will  be welcoming our  judge  Nicola Shepherd from St Andrews to assess our images and give us feedback to help us improve on our work and of course award those all important first places.

Our final meeting of the season will be held in the hall and we are delighted to welcome local and well known Scottish nature writer Keith Broomfield. A graduate in zoology from the University of Aberdeen, Keith has had an interest in wildlife spanning from his earliest years and a great passion for the outdoors. He is based in Strathdevon and will talk to us about our local wildlife around the beautiful hills, woods, rivers and lochs which we have on our doorstep. Definitely one for the diary.

To bring our season to a close and to present all of those hard fought for trophies our Annual Prize Giving Dinner will be held on Saturday 27th April at Milnathort Golf Club. Members and their partners are invited to enjoy a tasty dinner and celebrate the end of another fantastic season in style.

Our featured photograph this month is this very impressive image called ‘Out of the Blue’ by Paul Kirkby it was taken from a small sandy beach near the old pier at Kirkgate Park.
