We begin April with a Zoom presentation by Jerry Webb with his talk ‘Breaking The Rules in Mono Photography’. Jerry is a self taught photographer specialising in people, portraits and street events. He says he is often at odds with conventional perceptions and he prefers to interpret what he sees with his own individual methods and style. This sounds like a very interesting topic for those who like to try new and alternative styles of photography and enjoy ‘breaking the rules’!

Our second meeting in April sees the Annual Competition being held in the Kinross Church Centre. This is our final competition of the season where we look forward to seeing some of the best examples of work our members have produced and anticipate critiques and scores by our guest judge John Simpson.

The final event of our season is the much anticipated Prize Giving Dinner. A sociable evening where we can enjoy a delicious meal and raise our glasses to congratulate those members who have enjoyed success in the club’s competitions this season.

Please don’t forget to come along and meet members of our club at our very first photography exhibition being held in the Loch Leven Community Campus Library from Saturday 1st April – Saturday 15th April 2023. Please look out for our posters and flyers. Come along and have a look at some of the fantastic photographs taken by our members and find out more about our small friendly camera club.

If you enjoy photography and would like to give our club a try or If you would like to learn more about Kinross Camera Club and our activities and events please contact secretary@kinrosscameraclub.org.uk

All abilities are very welcome and you don’t need a fancy camera and lots of gear. You are very welcome to join us for an evening and see if it’s for you.
