We begin March with an evening of photography presentations by members Dick Crighton and Francis Principe-Gillespie. It is always good to hear from our home grown members and we look forward to an entertaining meeting in the church hall.
Our League 3 Competition will be held on the 9th March and we welcome judge Brian Cathie to critique and score our images in this final league of the season.
On the 16th March Photographer Chris Upton will present his talk ‘Essential Composition’ via a zoom presentation. Chris is based in Nottingham and is a Travel. Landscape and Social Documentary photographer. Chris aims to inspire us all with his images to encourage us to think more about our composition techniques. He is an Associate of the RPS and a brand ambassador for Fuji.
Our annual joint meeting with The Scottish Wildlife Trust will be held in the church hall later this month. We are delighted to announce that the speaker this year will be Moira Gardiner who will present her wildlife photography from her recent travels. We have been very fortunate to have enjoyed an evening of Moira’s wildlife photography in 2021 when she shared her images from Costa Rica and Ecuador. We are very much looking forward to her new presentation.
Towards the end of the month we have our second evening of presentations by club members. Janet Lowe and John Davie will present slideshows of their images and hear about their photographic journeys and we very much look forward to another meeting in the church hall where we can catch up over tea and biscuits.
The club is delighted to announce two exciting events on the horizon.
Firstly, Kinross Camera Club will have a stand at The Better Place to Live Fair on Saturday 25th March at the Loch Leven Community Campus.
Secondly, our club is to hold an Exhibition of members work in the Loch Leven Community Campus Library from Saturday 1st April – Saturday 15th April 2023. Please look out for our posters and flyers. Come along and find out more about our small friendly camera club.
If you enjoy photography and would like to give our club a try or If you would like to learn more about Kinross Camera Club and our activities and events please contact secretary@kinrosscameraclub.org.uk
All abilities are very welcome and you don’t need a fancy camera and lots of gear. You are very welcome to join us for an evening and see if it’s for you.
