Kinross Camera club begins the new year with a Zoom get to together to share Members Pictures. Those of us who have been busy with our cameras during last few weeks and throughout the Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations will be able to share seasonal images with us all. This is a very informal evening where we can have a chat about our images and offer hints and tips on how to improve on our photography. Always a popular, enjoyable and relaxed evening.
The second meeting of the year sees our League 2 Competition held in Kinross Church Centre. Our judge for the evening is Douglas Berndt.
Kenny McLean will be presenting his Zoom talk called ‘Lockdown and Distinctions – An Evolution’. During Lockdown and beyond Kenny started producing a large number of images and as recently as 2021 entered photographic salons. He then set himself the challenge of gaining photographic distinctions. From still life to landscapes we will hear about Kenny’s short journey to inspire us all, even those of us new to photography, to have a go.
The final meeting of January is our highly entertaining Digital Knockout event which will be held in the Kinross Church Centre. Members are invited to submit digital photographs on any theme they choose. The photographs are displayed in two’s on projector screens and the audience is asked to vote for their preferred image. This continues until we are left with only two images from which a winner is chosen. This is always an enjoyable evening all taken in good humour and one not to be missed.
If you enjoy photography and would like to give our club a try or If you would like to learn more about Kinross Camera Club and our activities and events please contact secretary@kinrosscameraclub.org.uk
All abilities are very welcome and you don’t need a fancy camera and lots of gear. You are very welcome to join us for an evening and see if it’s for you.
