Andrew Alan a local Perthshire astronomer has rescheduled his presentation on Astro Photography ‘Scotland’s Night Sky’ to the first meeting in December. Andrew is a self taught astro photographer and will demonstrate and explain the techniques and equipment required to capture amazing images of our night sky. Andrew also visits The Arctic each year to photograph the Northern Lights in Iceland and Norway. This meeting will be held in the Kinross Church Centre and we look forward to meeting Alan and being inspired to venture out in the dark to photograph our dark skies.
Our Thackery and Creative Digital competitions take place in the hall and will be judged by Malcolm Lind. Our theme for the Thackery Competition this year is a mouth watering tryptic ‘Food Photography’. Our Creative Digital competition gives us the opportunity to have a go at something a little whacky and to challenge our inner creativity. Always an evening to look forward to.
The final meeting of the year is our fu filled traditional seasonal get together in the hall to get us all ready for Christmas. Christmas Quizzes, mince pies, sausage rolls and a tipple or two.
If you enjoy photography and would like to give our club a try or If you would like to learn more about Kinross Camera Club and our activities and events please contact secretary@kinrosscameraclub.org.uk
All abilities are very welcome and you don’t need a fancy camera and lots of gear. You are very welcome to join us for an evening and see if it’s for you.
